This September, the AFL has teamed up with Carlton Draught and Carlton Dry to deliver the ultimate event and entertainment precinct for Grand Final week. Introducing… The Carlton Quarter.
Today, recently retired AFL star Jack Riewoldt and comedian Peter Helliar as ‘Strauchanie’ came together in Yarra Park to break ground on the exciting addition to this year’s footy festival live site. Located just metres from Gate 3 of the MCG, The Carlton Quarter will be home to several free and ticketed events in the lead-up to, and including, the biggest day in September.
Fans can launch into the footy fever excitement from Thursday 28th (Public Holiday Eve) with Carlton Dry presenting Aussie DJ Hot Dub Time Machine spinning through the decades.
With a tough act to follow, Carlton Draught will bring the entertainment on Friday 29th playing host to the inaugural Grand Final Eve Roast, featuring Peter Helliar as ‘Strauchanie’ plus AFL legends Peter Daicos, Jack Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin and additional AFL and AFLW stars soon to be announced.
On Grand Final Day from 11am the excitement continues with game day coverage streamed live to The Carlton Quarter with food trucks, bars, live music and a panel of AFL legends for punters to enjoy.
